Positions are available in Rohto Advanced Research Hong Kong Limited, newly established laboratory in Hong Kong Science Park.
Requirement
- Ph.D. degree or in biological or medical sciences or a related discipline
- More than 5 years of working experience as a scientist in a biological research laboratory (academia or industry).
- Experience in leading a team as a scientist, supervising juniors in their experiments and providing guidance to develop their skills.
- Strong and extensive experiences and background in any of the following areas: cell biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics in healthcare, regenerative medicine including cell therapy and/or tissue engineering fields and Advanced Therapy Products (ATPs).
- The desirable candidates should be self-motivated, cooperative, but capable of working independently, and have excellent analytical and communication as well as leadership skills.
- Preferably have worked in both academia and healthcare industry and have experiences in leading collaboration projects and/or business development.
- The candidate is required to communicate in English.
Planning projects based on the paper search for latest academic research, clinical trials, and intellectual properties.
Design and perform experiments such as tissue culture, qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry and other molecular techniques as well as analyze data.
Prepare and provide project updates/reports on a timely basis.
Manage collaborative R&D activities with academia and industry partners.
Handle multiple projects in both supportive and leading roles.
Work independently and provide guidance to junior staff.
Attend meetings including international scientific forums
Communication with the headquarter in Japan.
Oversea business trip maybe required

Qualifications:
-A Phd or Master degree holder in biological or medical sciences or a related discipline.
-Background in the following areas: cell biology, material science related to healthcare, and most desirably, in cell therapy and tissue engineering fields, or ophthalmology and other sensory organ research fields.
Requirements:
-Experience in various types of cell culture would be beneficial.
-The desirable candidates should be self-motivated, cooperative, but capable of working independently, and have excellent analytical and communication skills as well as having experience in teaching experiments to the juniors.
-A team player, work well with cross functional team environment.
